They may seem like small parts of our body, but eyebrows and eyelashes make a big difference in your appearance, am I right? I use to not think about eyebrows, I mean they are just hair above your eyes. I never really noticed good eyebrows before, but I definitely noticed bad ones! I have always noticed good eyelashes though and also fake eyelashes.
Now that I'm more aware, it has helped me appreciate them and want to take care of them. I'm not anti-fake eyelashes or anti-microblading, but I try to do as much natural solutions as possible and enhance my natural beauty. PLUS I've learned to not over-pluck my eyebrows, oh man I have had my moments of being pluck happy! I've learned my lesson that more is better when it comes to your eyebrows AND eyelashes.
Since I've been using this DIY serum, I absolutely have noticed a difference! My eyelashes and eyebrows are fuller and healthier!
Castor oil is a vegetable oil that is from the seeds of the castor oil plant Ricinus communis. Castor oil is made by cold-pressing castor seeds and then applying heat. It has been proven safe to use in cosmetic and personal care products and remedies.
Castor oil is a more thick and sticky oil and it is very moisturizing. It is mainly made up of the fatty acid, ricinoleic acid, which is very beneficial for the skin. Ricinoleic acid helps balance the pH of the skin, replenish the skins natural oils, and helps protect the skin from invading harmful bacteria and viruses.
Castor has vitamin e and omega 9 fatty acids. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties and is very soothing to the skin. It helps the hair become stronger and smoother.
Clary Sage essential oil is one of my favorites when it comets DIY personal care and skin solutions. Clary sage helps with de-stressing (self-care routines should definitely help you de-stress!) and reduces blood pressure. Clary sage has anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial properties.
Clary sage essential oil stimulates blood circulation in the hair follicles which promote hair growth. It helps strengthen hair and is naturally conditioning. I also enjoy the scent!
Lavender essential oil is one of my favorites because it is so relaxing and has a heavenly scent! However, it is specifically beneficial for hair growth. Lavender essential oil has shown to promote hair growth.
Lavender essential oil has anti-microbial properties, which helps prevent fungi and bad bacteria from growing on your skin and hair follicle. Lavender essential oil is also anti-inflammatory. These different properties are helpful for the health and strength of your hair and hair follicles.

1. Fill up the mascara wands with castor oil to about half of the mascara tube.
2. Add 5 to 10 drops of lavender essential oil.
3. Add 5 to 10 drops of clary sage essential oil.
4. Add more castor oil until the mascara tube is 3/4 full. You want to allow room for the mascara wand. *Tip: The tube may already be filled 3/4 the way once you add I the essential oil.
5. Apply to your eyelashes and eyebrows every night before you go to bed. You may want to make one tube for your eyebrows and a separate one for your eyelashes. Enjoy having some luscious lashes and brows!
